Metadata Options
-
Hello,
the options at the Metadata should be extended, please see this as a feature request.
We can only display (or hide) the Title field (wich is usually the internal name of a media file).
There is no switch to choose between “Title” and “Caption”. I see the “Caption” as the public sided “Title” of my media files.
At the Caption section itself, we have the option to choose between “Caption” and “Description” – so we are not having any possible option to use “Caption” and “Description” same time.
So there may be multiple ways to extend,
a) either make a clear separate setup so we can address all four media metadata fields separately.
b) enable for Title a choice between “Title” and “Caption” and change the Caption section to Description with a choice between “Description” and “Alternate Text”
c) enable the two Metadata fields currently available at the lightbox, to have the choice of all four metadata fields as a source (just like we can set the caption source at the gallery plugin)
BTW speaking of the gallery – here I miss the ability to display the Description at the UI in addition to the Caption – so I can choose only the one or the other but not both same time.
Many thanks for considering.
Cheers

PS: at the Caption there is the Caption Ellipsis option – turned on or off – I am unable to see and spot any difference on how the caption is displayed.
