    Hello, I’ve been trying to update the event calendar for a while now. Unfortunately, the update keeps failing.

    Thank you for reaching out.

    Looking at your screenshot, it appears you’re trying to update from an earlier version of The Events Calendar. Have you completed the Migration to the New Event Data System?

    Thank you for your message and the information.

    We may be looking at some file permission issues here. At this point, I recommend that you try manually updating the plugin (see Manual Updates). To be safe, we strongly urge testing updates in a staging environment.

    @tristan083 Manual installation at the WordPress level doesn’t work either.

    Thank you for your message, and I’m sorry to hear of the continued difficulties.

    Could you please try the FTP method — Replacing the plugin files via FTP?

    Yes, i will try. But I think it´s better to make a backup before.

    I’ve finally found a way to get it working.

    I created an empty directory called …/Category_Colors via FTP and then simply tried again using WordPress.

    It actually worked.
