Plugin Uses Excessive Memory. Slow Query w/ Duplicate Queries

    Hello, we are running into issues where The Events Calendar would use approximately 330MB of our memory. When we turn all plugins off and use Twenty Twenty theme, The Events Calendar would continue to use 330MB of our memory. We then use query monitor to try to see if we can find any issues and there seems to be a duplicate queries issue when loading on any page in the frontend or backend of our website. Attached you’ll see a screenshot of this query (highlight in red rectangle for importance). Is there a way we can reduce memory usage from your plugin or does your plugin simply need this large amount of memory to function? Please advice.

    Thank you for reaching out and bringing this to our attention. I wanted to let you know that we already have an internal bug ticket open [TCMN-193] for this specific issue, and I’ve added this thread to the report.

    We prioritize bugs by taking into consideration the number of users impacted as well as how the bug impacts one’s ability to run an event. I don’t have a specific timeline as to when this issue will be resolved, but trust that our team is aware. Our team communicates updates and bug fixes in our newsletter and via our changelog. We’ll also update this thread once the fix is out.

    In the meantime, downgrading to a previous version of The Events Calendar (see Accessing and Installing Older Plugin Versions) or emptying out the shepherd_tec_tasks table on your database may help alleviate the situation.
