Could you please try performing a hard reload of the page by pressing Ctrl + Shift + R?
If the issue persists, I recommend deactivating all other plugins and then checking the sorting functionality again. There might be a conflict with another plugin. Reactivating the plugins one by one could help identify the source of the issue.

Maybe there is an option to install an old version again.
