About 1, as different ISPs and email service providers use different factors as metrics to filter spam or block emails, some email addresses may receive the notification email, while some do not. The best way that we know to improve email deliverability would be to use an SMTP plugin to configure the website to send authenticated emails.
We have an article with a list of recommended SMTP options and links to their setup tutorials.
About 2, could you please share more details why the weekly Email Summaries contain completely inaccurate data? This will help us to provide information about the issue.
Please note that, in WPForms Lite, your email summaries will include all-time form submission totals rather than weekly data, as described in our guide here.

Thanks for the replies. As for 1, I know that plugin, however, all other emails are delivered properly to the inbox. The only issue is with the emails related to WP Forms. Paying for the additional plugin only for that would be unreasonable…
As for 2, the summary says zero entries everywhere, which is simply not true, as I’m receiving forms.

If you’d prefer not to use the paid version of WP Mail SMTP for now, you can consider using its free version, WP Mail SMTP Lite.
The WP Mail SMTP Lite plugin comes with popular mailer options, such as Gmail, SMTP.com, Sendinblue, SendGrid, Mailgun, and the “Other” SMTP option. Any of these can be configured to improve the email deliverability of your site as well.

About the issue 2, I checked in with the team, and we’ve improved our weekly Email Summaries to work similarly on WPForms Pro and WPForms Lite.
Here are some screenshots to show how the Email Summaries worked for me:
- Email Summary from the week before last, showing 0 entries in total – screenshot.
- Email Summary from last week, showing 3 entries in total, since I submitted a form after your report – screenshot.
I also created a new site for testing, submitted a form twice, and confirmed that the total in the Email Summary reflects 2 submissions – screenshot.
If you continue to receive weekly Email Summaries with a total of 0 entries, even after making some test submissions, I recommend following these steps:
- Install the WP Control plugin. WPBeginner has a helpful guide about it here.
- Check that the
wpforms_weekly_entries_count_cron and wpforms_weekly_entries_count_cron hooks are available under Tools » Cron Events – screenshot.
