I have an old site let’s call it AAA.COM, I copied AAA.COM site to BBB.COM.
    BBB.COM replaced AAA.COM.
I reset both accounts and installed them again, each one with its own unique name.
Still, when you look for AAA.COM on Google you find BBB.COM.
I also made sure to update Yoast.
How do I tell Google about the change, I marked on BBB.COM to discourage site engines to index the site. Not sure what to do next.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thanks for reaching out @royb3000. Unfortunately we’re limited to Site Kit queries here in the plugin support forums. I you are using the plugin and have encountered errors after the site URL changes, let me know of any such errors and I’d be happy to assist. Typically, with a URL change, Site Kit does recognize a site URL change if you migrated your full WordPress site or if you switch the URL. The plugin will then ask you to complete set up once more, connecting your new site URL with Search Console. This means that Google is notified of the content on your new site URL.

For best practice, you may also use the change of address tool, as per this guide. This may be of particular use if you have content identical content existing on your previous URL. You may also wish to assign canonical references or redirects if you have matching content are more than one site. For assistance with these, the product experts over at the Search Console Help Center can assist more than we can here in Site Kit plugin support.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you!

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
