Hi @cnastav
In the Google verification field under Yoast SEO > Settings > Site connections, you will have to add the verification code that you receive when you verify your site over Google Search Console.
Can you kindly check the page source of your site and search for the term google-site-verification and see if it is detected? There you will find a content, similar to this:
<meta name="google-site-verification" content="...xyz...">
If your site is already verified in Google Search Console, you will see a similar meta tag and from here, you will have to copy the content [where I have added xyz as placeholder], and paste it within Yoast SEO > Settings> Site connections.
I am in Google Search console and it says my site is verified. I think it was done through a domain verification at GoDaddy.
I’m in the source code for my Website and there is no google-site-verification
So the site is verified in Google Search Console. I’m in Search console.
With that given, now what do I do/put in Yoast SEO for Google site verification?
Hi @cnastav,
If you’ve already verified your site in the Google Search Console, there’s no need to verify it again.
You can safely ignore this field on the Yoast SEO plugin, as this field is only to help website owners who don’t know how to verify the site via Google Search Console.
