    Hello!

    Using:

    • Polylang 3.5.2 (languages en – default, de)
    • Advanced Custom Fields: Extended 0.8.9.5

    Problem:
Translation synchronization does not work on ACF options pages when selecting a field value setting: “Copy once” or “Synchronize”. This happens regardless of whether all languages or the main site language is selected in the top administrative navigation menu.

In order for the field translation to display in the two languages set, I have to manually switch the language in the top administrative navigation menu and fill in the same value for the field.

If I disable the Advanced Custom Fields: Extended plugin, the field synchronization works correctly when I choose to customize the field value: “Copy once” or “Synchronize”. With the plugin disabled, when I fill in the field value in one language, this value is “automatically” written for the other language as well. If I change the language from one to another, the field will be filled in.

Is there any solution for this situation to enable field synchronization on the ACF options pages?

    Hello,

Thanks for the feedback, and sorry for the late answer.

I just checked the ACF Extended Multilingual module, and everything works as expected.

Please note that that Polylang is not compatible with ACF Options Pages. The setting “Translations: Copy once/Synchronize/Translate” has no effect on Options Page. So even if you switch this setting, fields on Options Pages will always display the same value, no matter which language is selected in back-end or the front-end.

With ACF Extended, you can switch language in the Options Page UI, and set field values for different languages. On the front-end, if the user switch to a language that has not been translated yet, it will display the Default Language values. If the fields have been translated, translated fields will be displayed instead. You’ll find more information on the documentation here.

Here is a video showing how Polylang works on ACF Options Pages, with and without ACF Extended enabled.

    Hope it answers your questions.

Thanks, and sorry again for the late answer.

    Regards.
