You don’t need to use regions at all to show a specific area of the world. You can either specify the “Initial Map View” in the settings globally or you set an individual “Custom Map Position” in the Block. In case you are using the Shortcode set the attributes lat, long and zoom to have an individual map position.

Thanks for the info that is helpful. What is the best zoom setting to use it seems as I added more markers the focus on a region or area is lost.
I suggest you try it. Try different values between 8 and 15.

so I am trying to understand if I use country coordinates for a map then it show all the locations for that country or within those coordinates.
The custom coordinates (lat, long vlaues) define the center of the map. With the zoom value you can zoom closer or be more far away.
Regardless of these settings the map will always contain all of you markers.
