Hi @savedbyhim01
I hope you’re well today!
The recent release included only some performance-related changes – nothing “functional” – but since there may have been some unexpected side-effect which we missed.
I have tested it on my end now and I can confirm that with 7.6.6 it doesn’t happen but it does not only with recent 7.7.1 but also with 7.7.0 version.
The 7.7.0 version had way more changes implemented and I believe one of those is related here.
That being said, I see that the similar issue (the one about footer embed) has already been also reported to our Hustle Team and developers are already working on a fix to be included in one of the upcoming releases. I have also informed our developers about this case so they could implement a fix for it as well.
There is also a patch for now that seems to fix the issue. The patch code is here
https://gist.githubusercontent.com/wpmudev-sls/d883de23962ad810166214e1233d07ab/raw/8a6606de5aef70ae3e68d3a63f31147c5a1283b5/hustle-scroll-fix.php
and to add it to the site you’d simply need to add it as MU plugin:
– create an empty file with a .php extension (e.g.”hustle-close-scroll-patch.php”)
– copy and paste code into it
– and upload it to the “/wp-content/mu-plugins” folder of your site’s WordPress installation
I tested it on my end and it does the job, fixing that scroll.
Kind regards,
Adam
Thank you for the help. I see that the new update 7.8 has included a fix for that. In that case, it will not be necessary to also add the patch above, correct?
Hello @savedbyhim01,
Yes, that’s correct. If you update to Hustle 7.8.0, the fix should not be necessary, as it’s been implemented in plugin.
Please note, that sometimes after updating the plugin you may also have to flush your browser cache, as well as site/server-level caches.
Best Regards,
Dmytro
