    Hi There,

We’re experiencing a couple of issues at the moment with CM Glossary.
    – The links of a glossary item on the landing page doesn’t fit to the webpage design.
    – The Tooltips when hovering over them are just random characters like some kind of IDs
    – “Call to Action” widget from Elementor doesn’t show any images and the links of the call to action ar not working anymore.

Don’t get me wrong here, we are using the plugin quite a while now, but those issues occurred recently.

We did already deactivate all plugins but Elementor and CM Tooltip, but as soon as CM Tooltip gets activated, the “call to action”-widget seems to crash.

We are on Version 4.2.8 for CM Tooltip and 3.13.2 for Elementor Pro.

I hope someone can help us. Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

Plase make sure the links are selected in the setting called “Exclude HTML tags from parsing:” in General Settings. From what I see, the problems may be coming from the parsing breaking the links.

    Hi there,
thank you for the reply, that setting indeed helped with the call to action widget.

But we are still experiencing weird behaviour of the following:

    • On some tooltips the excrept is just random characters
    • And in the earlier Settings, we were able to exclude headlines to be tooltiped.

For reference please see the screenshot (https://ibb.co/4FjcXgK) of the homepage.

    Thank you for any help!

    Hi Leon,
Glad that we’re making progress. The remaining issue is probably coming from the fact that the content is loaded with AJAX, which is incompatibile with the feature “Move tooltip contents to footer” which is required for Elementor.

So I suggest disabling the option: “Enable glossary filter for the content which is loaded using AJAX”.

If it wont help, another option is that the page was cached without the term definitions. Please try to purge the caches of this page.

Last resort solution would be to wrap these problematic sections with [glossary_exclude] shortcode, but that will remove the tooltips completely.

    Hi there,

sadly, those suggestions didn’t help fix the issue. The last solution isn’t an option, due to the time we invested in creating the Glossary.

Due to the fact, that somehow the issue is not resolved, is there a way to export the already written glossary Items, so we don’t lose the hours of work?

Or another question, would the premium version of your tool be able to resolve the issue?

I’m sorry that the solutions didn’t work. It’s possible that the issue is related to a conflict with one of the Elementor modules.

The premium version has many more features allowing to control the appearance of the tooltip, so it may help, but we can’t guarantee that.

But with premium version comes the import/export feature and premium support, so we’ll either solve the issue or you’ll get the refund.
