Hello, I have all my web stories showing up on one page of my website. However, as they increase in numbers, I need my audience to be able to filter them. I had seen on a topic response over a year ago that you guys were working on providing this. Please can you update me and let me know how I can get the filter added to this page so people can easily choose the category of web story they want?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @ifdcmls , thank you for reaching out with your topic. To confirm, are you looking for a way to filter Web Stories for the front-end display?

Once you’ve tagged your Stories on the admin side, you can filter the display on the front end by:

    1. Add a new post
    2. Choose Web Stories block
    3. Choose embed option > select layout
    4. In the Sorting and Filtering section, select all the stories you wish to display with those categories/tags.

Please let me know if this answers your question or if we need to clarify further. Thank you!

Hi thanks for your reply. Let me try to explain in detail, exactly what I am looking for:

    1. I would like ALL my stories to appear on the page.
    2. Eventually when there are hundreds of stories, I would like the user to be able to choose the type of stories they want to view.
    3. This means, they should be able to either select from a dropdown filter. For example, “Beauty”, would bring up all stories that talk about beauty only.
    4. How can I install such a filter? Or perhaps search field? Since we have many categories for our stories, how can we make it easy for our users to pick the category of stories they wish to see on the page?

Thank you for clarifying. Our plugin does not have such a filter feature however, you can explore other options like this plugin: https://facetwp.com/ which provides users with a filter functionality.

Please feel free to open a new support topic if you experience any issues or have any questions. Thank you!
