    Bonjour,

    Nous avons installé le plugin site kit sur le site internet ci dessus. Malgré le fait que les paramètres de langues du site soient en français, l’interface du plugin reste en anglais. Comment pouvons nous remédier à ce problème ?

    Hi @lgcreation,

    Thanks for reaching out. Can you try to uninstall and install Site Kit once more before checking the Site Kit dashboard once more? You don’t need to reset or disconnect the plugin within the Site Kit settings first.

    Let me know how you get on after performing the above. We are aware of some plugin translations reverting to English during plugin updates at present. If you didn’t update the plugin since this started to occur, and the untranslated strings remain, please share your Site Health information and we can investigate this further. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.

    Nous n’arrivons pas à désinstaller site kit : le plugin nous demande les identifiants de notre serveur ftp. Nous les entrons et cliquons sur “continuer” mais rien ne se passe …

    J’ai rempli les informations concernant l’état de santé du site via le formulaire

    Hi Lucile,

    Thanks for sharing your Site Health information. I can see your site language is set to French. As you’re unable to uninstall Site Kit from the plugins page, you can uninstall manually by removing the Site Kit directory via FTP or your file manager. You’ll find the plugin directory at wp-content/plugins/google-site-kit. After doing so you can then install Site Kit once more.

    After you install Site Kit once more, the language should revert to French. Let me know if you need any assistance with the above.

    J’ai supprimé google site kit sur le serveur ftp et je l’ai ensuite réinstallé mais l’extension est toujours en anglais.

    Que puis-je faire d’autre ?

    Many thanks for checking this. I’ve been performing some tests myself and I am able to recrate some inconsistencies. I’ll need to check this with the team before reporting back to you here if that’s ok. I’ll hopefully have an update for you on this at some stage this week.

    Thanks for your patience on this. I’ve checked your case with the team and it looks like what’s happening is the JavaScript translations for the plugin are not being updated, displaying the plugins base language (English) instead. This is due to a change in how plugin translations are handled at WordPress core level.

    While we are looking into ways to ensure that a users chosen language is selected upon each plugin update, there is a trac ticket on WordPress Core, which if implemented will ensure that translations are updated after each plugin release.

    One workaround which you may also wish to try, which worked for me after replicating your issue, is using the following plugin:

    Can you install this plugin, and after doing so set French as your language once more within your WordPress general settings. After doing so, please share whether your language strings are then reset to French.
