Web Stories Analytics Not showing
-
Hi,
I have created Three web stories using the Google Web Stories Plugin. I cannot understand what is wrong or where. When i open the story link directly in a browser, GA shows realtime data hits as “Event Started” sometimes, but during 48 hrs of GA update, there is no data. I installed Rank Math Plugin and now Google Search Console is showing all 3 stories in indexed sitemaps.
In Google Web Stories Insight Database, there is no data in Default Setting but only a single entry of ” Archieve Page” under UA-ID. No individual stories data.
Also I researched all previous issues and done following so far-
- Using Google Site kit. Had reset the analytics module once and linked again to UA and GA4 IDs both. Rest of Website is giving realtime and analytics data but stories are not reflecting for realtime or overall data.
- AdSense is also working on website.
- AMP tags are verified for all 3 web stories. No issue detected amp tags.
- Rich Text Ok for all three webstories.
Following “Web Stories Archive ” page has linked for all three stories

I not sure what is wrong going here. The only thing i dont do after publishing a web story is to reject the plugins popup to publish story as a post on main website. Is it necessary to do so? Should i remove UA-ID from Site Kit and keep GA4 only or perhaps continue to use both?
Can any understand the issue here and help me..

Hi there @abhinavch26 , thanks for reaching out with your topic. On the Web Stories Insights Dashboard > Default data field, you should verify which account you are using since you’ll only have access to analytics that your Google account is linked to. Also, ensure you have the date range selected properly. Data should appear on the Overview page > Top Stories section, as well as the Story level page. If you are not seeing data it simply could be from no data yet collected.

The “Add to new post” popup is to help you embed Web Stories on your site easier, and you can dismiss this message without it affecting anything. Web Stories does not yet support GA4 so you will want to continue using the UA-Property ID to track Web Stories analytics.
If you don’t see any data after some time, I would suggest reaching out to the experts at Google Analytics to investigate further.
Hi Luckyna san,
