Duplicating Title

When the events calendar plugin was updated to 6.0.3.1, WordPress 6.1, all event titles now display the same, incorrect title for multiple events in the WordPress Events page. When you click on an event, the correct title displays in the details. When you view the Events web page externally, the events display correctly with the proper titles.

Hi @hroelke @donnydigital apologies for the delay here, I’m back now. Are these from CSV Imports, that’s causing the duplicates?
We just released The Events Calendar 6.0.4. We fixed quite a few errors in this release, and it may have solved this issue as well. Please update and let us know if that fixes the issue here.
To be safe, we’d recommend conducting tests and updates on a Staging Server. Also, please keep a working backup of your website.
Also, please clear any caching for both third-party plugins and server-side (if you have any). It would also be good to flush permalinks.

Hi @donnydigital, yikes! Apologies, re-opening this thread here. It seems like I spoke early. This could be another issue not related to what I reported initially. My bad on this.
For now, kindly downgrade to v6.0.3 or v6.0.2 as per the other thread. It works with that version.

Hi @donnydigital, thanks for confirming here. I wasn’t able to replicate the issue here with the latest version, and I think there’s another issue that’s causing it. Could you try downgrading to v6.0.5 and see if that works?

Hello @abzlevelup, when I rolled back to v6.0.5, the issue didn’t go away and calendar view showed that it has a critical error. I had to upgrade back to v6.0.6.2 in order to fix the critical error.
Could you try manually updating your plugin to v6.0.5 through FTP and check if that makes a difference?
If it doesn’t help, please set up a staging version of your live site, enable debugging, and replicate the critical error you’ve encountered. After that, please send the detailed error message shown on your screen; I’d like to check it further on my end. You could also check the logs.

At this time, we have been able to reproduce the problem (duplicate title on a multi-site setup) and have identified a potential fix. I have already added this thread to our internal ticket.
While we don’t have an ETA at the moment, you’ll get notified through this thread once there is an update and fix.

With our latest release of The Events Calendar 6.1.0, we resolved an issue regarding a conflict with Object Cache causing duplicated event titles in the WordPress admin.
We recommend that you update The Events Calendar to the latest released versions. As always, we suggest testing updates on a staging site first and having a recent backup ready, but it should all be smooth sailing. If you implemented any workarounds, you can remove them after updating the plugins.
If you still have issues after updating to the latest releases, please open a new support thread and include as many specific details as possible.
