@daniel1106 ,
Sorry, currently managing additional column is not possible in Stock Manager for WooCommerce plugin. However, we have made a note of it and will surely let you know once we have added support for the same.
Alternatively, would suggest try to use Smart Manager plugin as it is designed in a way that it automatically scans your WordPress database and automatically detect and lets you manage any custom field for any custom post type.
So, you should be able to manage the ‘stock location’ custom field using the Smart Manager plugin.
You can also have a check with the Smart Manager plugin demo from here.
Hi @storeapps
Any news on this? I would like the same. Is it possible through some hook?
@daniel1106 ,
Sorry, currently managing additional columns is not possible in Stock Manager for WooCommerce plugin even using any hooks.
As suggested in our earlier comment, would suggest you to use Smart Manager plugin.
You can also check the Smart Manager plugin demo from here.
I am also looking to add some custom fields. Is anyone interested in sharing the cost?
@ajamm ,
As suggested in our earlier comments, did you try using the Smart Manager plugin?
You can also check the Smart Manager plugin demo from here and do let us know in case of any queries.
Yes we did try Smart Manager. It is far too slow.
@ajamm ,
That’s strange. Ideally, you shouldn’t face such speed-related issues.
We’ll need to isolate what’s really causing this problem. Here’s something that will help:
- Install a free theme like Twenty Twenty or Storefront but do not activate/switch your current theme
- Install the free plugin Health Check & Troubleshooting on your site – this plugin is developed by the WordPress.org team and is pretty good at diagnosing problems in such situations.
- Once the health check plugin is installed, keep only WooCommerce and Smart Manager plugins active for the admin side and try to reproduce the speed related issue you reported. Make sure to do this only for the admin side – that way visitors to your site won’t be affected.
- Here’s a nice article that explains this process.
Using Health Plugin, and testing, it is still quite slow and less than clear/simple. Search can take 10+ seconds to find one product.
@ajamm ,
Have you tried the advanced search functionality and facing speed issues with that too?
If still the issue persists, then the issue could be specific to your site. Would suggest you reach out to us from here, so we can help you in a better way.
