I have installed and activated the Site Kit plugin and noticed that in some sections, the front end of my website has been damaged. My header has a dropdown menu, but with an activated Site Kit, the dropdown menu doesn't work. When I deactivated the plugin, everything went back to normal.

I noticed that when the plugin is activated in my console, some errors appear, like "Uncaught TypeError: u.hoverintent is not a function    at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (wpo-minify-footer-1137036c.min.js:25:2991)", "Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected identifier 'Your'".

I hope to find the solution.

    Hi @daik0kuten,

Thanks for reaching out. Based on your comments and the wpo-minify mention I suspect this is occurring only for you, with non logged-in administrators not having access to the Site Kit admin toolbar.

So we can determine more on this, if you’re using the WP-Optimize plugin, can you please temporary uncheck the option “Enable minification of JavaScript files” from WP-Optimize > Minify > Javascript and check if the same occurs?

If the same does not occur then I can provide you with a Site Kit exclusion that will ensure Site Kit JavaScript resources are not included in any minification setting, as Site Kit JavaScript files are already minified.

If the same does occur, please share your Site Health information and we can investigate this further.

    Hi @jamesosborne ,

Thank you for your answer and your help. I disabled the option “Enable minification of JavaScript files” as you said, and my problems were solved. Can you provide me the Site Kit exlusion? Then I will be able to minify JavaScript files.

    Thanks!

Good to know. The below is the Site Kit exclusion you can apply:
    /wp-content/plugins/google-site-kit

Here is how it should look after applying this within your minification exclusion options.

Give that a try and let me know if that works for you, and re-enabling your minification settings.

Great! If you run into any other conflicts or if you have any Site Kit queries be sure to get in touch.

If you’ve been a Site Kit user for some time be sure to also leave your plugin review.
