WooCommerce Database Query – Causing 502

Hi,
After the last update (6.7.0), we found that using the CMS we were intermittently getting 502 errors.
Having deactivated all plugins, and moving to Storefront, we have located the issue and this is the WooCommerce plugin. It happens when WooCommerce makes a Database Query.
We have tried downgrading WooCommerce to 6.6.1 but this has not resolved the issue.
I am unsure whether or not it is related, but we have over 450 pending tasks within the Action Scheduler. Whenever we try to manually ‘Run’ these tasks we are once again met with a 502 error.
Any guidance you can provide in relation to this would be greatly appreciated.

> System Status report – which you can find via WooCommerce → Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.
> Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.Once you have these, please share them in your response here.

WC Database Version: 6.4.0I am able to see that the WooCommerce Database is outdated, which could possibly be the cause of the issue. Please clarify if you have tried to update the WC Database after updating to WooCommerce version 6.7.0?
If not, please could you update WooCommerce to the latest version, and then update the WC Database to match the core version by navigating to WooCommerce → Status → Tools → Update database.

Can you confirm, should the Database Version number match the plugin version number? Should I expect to see WC Database Version: 6.7.0?
Also, how long should a database update expect to take? There’s about 250 products on the site.

I have a feeling this may be part of the issue.
There are 535 pending updates in the Action Scheduler.
Requesting to manually ‘Run’ them results in a 502. Some of these tasks are also from early July.
Is there a way to identify what may be causing this not to update?

WooCommerce uses a system called
WP-CRONthat runs automated actions inside WordPress. There may be times when it doesn’t work as expected, and they are stuck in a pending state.I would recommend installing the WP Crontrol plugin to see if there are any errors.

From the conversation I understand that it has been identified that the problem happens when WooCommerce makes a Database Query.
In this situation, updating the database to match the WooCommerce version is the priority. A mismatch here sends incorrect signals and that can give rise to all sorts of problems. @roxannestoltz has already provided you the steps to update the database, so kindly make it a priority. (Please update WooCommerce to its latest version first, and then update the database.)
Once that is taken care of, you can go for managing the pending tasks through the WP Crontrol plugin.
Keep us posted on how it goes.

Hi,
I’ve tried updating the Database but getting nowhere.
I tried it via the steps outlined above, and the only way I get the site to go through the necessary actions is to click ‘Run’ on each step.
This all goes fine (previously encountered 502 errors). Then once it all completes, it goes back to the beginning. i.e. I get another prompt at the top stating ‘WooCommerce database update required’.
So in a nutshell, it’s detecting that the database is out of date and needs updating. I’ve tried letting the automated updater run, and I’ve tried doing this manually. Neither are working.
Any advice is hugely appreciated.
