Purchase event not firing

    Hi there,

    The “purchase” event has not fired since April 27th on our site.

    We are getting all other events through to GA4 as normal.

    I can see in GTM preview that “gtm4wp.orderCompletedEEC” is being sent.

    Should we add this to our trigger in GTM?

    Can you think of a reason the purchase event would have stopped coming through?

    Hi,

    Unfortunately I can not tell you why purchase tracking stopped working on your site because I can not place a test order on the site without the need to use my bank card.

    Normally, if gtm4wp.orderCompletedEEC is firing then GA4 purchase should fire as well. In your GA4 tracking, you definitely should not add gtm4wp.orderCompletedEEC as a triggering event as the ecommerce data in this event will be not processed by GA4 because of the different data model in GA4.
