Import & Export Variable products

Hi,

I am trying to export and import products in my wordpress/woocommerce multisite.
All of our products are variable products and I am having difficulties importing the products to a new store. It is giving me this error when I am trying to import the products: Sorry, you can’t download this file format. Does woocommerce support exporting and importing variable products?

I understand you’re getting a download error.

Can you share a screenshot of the error via https://imgbb.com or https://snipboard.io?

For better assistance, please share your WooCommerce error logs and System Status on this thread so we can take a look at your configuration and check the issue further:

System Status: You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Error Log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if available).

Hi @tuomonurkkala,

Thanks for sending over your system status report.

Please try importing the file after disabling all plugins apart from WooCommerce and momentarily changing the theme to Storefront. Let us know how it goes.

If the issue persists, kindly share a sample file that you’re trying to import but gives that error message. To share files I generally suggest using https://www.file.io/ or https://ufile.io/ – you can upload the file then share the URL on this thread. Also, Dropbox or Google drive works too.

I deactivated all the plugins, but it didn’t help.
Should I deactivate all the plugins from the main site where I took the products from?

I tried to send all of our products as well but the file gets too large so then I picked the product departments that I need in the new site.

It seems something is happening with the files you upload to the https://www.file.io/ site; they seem deleted.

Could you please try using another service like https://ufile.io/, Google Drive, or Dropbox to share the CSV file?

Hello,

Thanks for writing back and sharing the CSV!

I’ve tested it with my local install, and it seems to be working fine.

Alternatively, can you please try to first upload the CSV file to your server and then point the WooCommerce importer to it? See the image below as reference:
