    Dear Mailchimp,

The synchronization of my WooCommerce webshop and my MailChimp seems to be stuck.
On the website, it looks normal and like it’s still syncing (about 5 days already).

I thought the issue might be related to caching, but even after disabling all the cache and waiting another 24 hours, the issue was not resolved.

Any ideas? Many thanks in advance!

    Kind regards

Hi @itsadesignthing, sorry to hear you’re having issues with the plugin, we definitely want to try to help out. Just to get a handle on the situation you’re experiencing, could you provide a few more pieces of information to help us understand the issue?

    – What plugin version are you using?
    – What version of PHP are you using?
    – Are there any fatal errors in WooCommerce? (WooCommerce -> Status -> Logs)
    – If you have a large number of plugins being used, you may need to bump up your memory limit on your server (1GB for example) to accommodate the initial sync.
    – If you haven’t already, please browse through our wiki to find documentation on the most common issues and how to resolve them: https://github.com/mailchimp/mc-woocommerce/wiki

Thanks in advance for these details. I’ll keep an eye out for your reply.

    Hi Khungate,

Thank you very much for your reply!

    – What plugin version are you using?
    Version 2.5.4

    – What version of PHP are you using?
    Version 7.4

    – Are there any fatal errors in WooCommerce? (WooCommerce -> Status -> Logs)
Nothing special. It looks like new orders are syncing, but in the plugin screen, the backlog remains stuck.

    – If you have a large number of plugins being used, you may need to bump up your memory limit on your server (1GB for example) to accommodate the initial sync.
We have 512MB, which I think should be sufficient?

I have checked them, but havn’t found anything helpfull, therefore I created this ticket. 🙂

    Have a nice day!

@itsadesignthing, thanks for getting back to us with that information. If it’s syncing new orders that’s a good sign 🙂 Does your Mailchimp Audience include old orders as well?

If not, I would just try a fresh uninstall/reinstall of the plugin. There may be some sort of caching (view) issue that was left over after things were disabled.

Lastly, we are releasing a new version of the plugin this week. I don’t think that any of the bugs we’re addressing would align to the problem you’re experiencing, but you could wait until that goes out as well for good measure (v2.6).

    Thanks!

    Hi Khungate,

Thanks a lot for the info! I have updated the plugin.
I’ll wait at least 24h before coming back to you, to see if the sync has continued.

    Have a nice evening!

    Hey Khungate,

I waited 3 days, just to be sure! 😉

Anyway, the sync is still stuck. Any suggestions?

Hi @itsadesignthing, can you please send the fatal logs & system report from Woo/Wordpress to kyle.hungate[at]contractors.mailchimp.com.

We’ll want to take a look at your server info. to troubleshoot further.

    Thanks!

Hi @itsadesignthing, happy to help. We received the system report but not the fatal logs, can you send that as well? You can find this fatal errors in the Woo->Status->Logs area.

    Thanks!

    Hi Kyle,

    Again, thank you!
I have shared an update. I hope this is what you are looking for?

@itsadesignthing are you by chance seeing current orders coming through – but the older orders are not? The older orders must be in the completed status in order to sync. Just wanted to check to see if we’re possibly seeing a status issue, or if it’s really that your site is processing the jobs that slow.

We’ve seen this before on smaller sites without a ton of traffic, so if you happen to be in that situation, please try to use a site checker to ping your website every minute or every 5 minutes like an “uptime monitor” type service which will then trigger your queued jobs.

Just throwing ideas out there. Also – do you see things being processed when you’re logged into the admin and looking at our plugin overview?

    Thanks!
