Hello! There seems to be an issue with daily subscriptions on Paypal. I have it setup so clients get charged everyday. However, instead of getting charged every 24 hours, some people will get charged much before that.

For example, if someone bought a membership at 1 pm, they should get charged at 1 pm the next day. But for some reason, some people seem to get charged 5 hours later at 6 pm on the same day.

Is there anyway to troubleshoot this or look into why it might be happening? I hope I have described the issues properly, if not, please let me know so I can go more in depth.

    Thank you.

    Hi @kuki1029

I’m sorry to hear about this issue you are facing here. Can you please share your membership level billing settings so I may look into this further – do you have it set to 24 hours or 1 day in the billing settings?

During checkout, we create the subscription which then hands over the responsibility of charges to PayPal to process the automatic payments. Could you please confirm inside PayPal they are correctly being created with the date specified (i.e. one day later).

The only thing I can think of is that there may be a timezone difference between PayPal and your checkout, PayPal could be in the future in comparison to your server’s time.

Hello! Thank you so much for the reply!!
I have it set to 1 day in the membership section. I couldn’t find a way to set it to 24 hours as there is no hours option unless I am missing it.

Ah you know what, there is a time difference. I will test that and see if that is the cause of it

    Thank you!

Please can you update Paid Memberships Pro to the latest version as we have recently supported hourly membership levels.
