    Hi

I’ve installed your plugin, have Stripe working no issues.
Google Pay I’ve created account but received NO Google Merchant ID at all from Google. Not sure what else I do or HOW to get this ? I have emailed Google Pay also about this.

Apple Pay I have linked Domain name, but not sure what else to do, or how to integrate it ?

Cannot see it in my Checkout as option ?

    Thanks
    Kristin

    Hi @kristinubute,

but received NO Google Merchant ID at all from Google. Not sure what else I do or HOW to get this ?

If you click the documentation button located in the Google Pay Settings page of the Stripe plugin it shows step by step how to setup Google Pay and acquire your Merchant ID.

Apple Pay I have linked Domain name, but not sure what else to do, or how to integrate it ?

You must have a valid credit card in your Apple Wallet in order to see the Apple Pay button. You must also use the Safari browser.

I’ve found the Merchant ID for Google Pay and entered it in.
When I test it as a Customer it says “The Merchant is not enabled for Google Pay”

The have processed it at Google Pay with a new account etc and say we are activated. So I’m confused with WHY I receive error on test website when trying to pay for GPay saying “The Merchant is not enabled for Google Pay”

Could you offer some advice for this ?

Also the Apple Pay Button is not viewing on my Checkout at all as option. It should at least display I assume no matter what device AND then not process if NOT apple device is that correct ? Or when would it displayed ? Only on apple device and NEVER shown on normal PC/laptop (non apple ?)? Please advise.

    Thanks in advance

    Thanks

    It says
It also says “Are you using a Participating Supported Payments Service Providers (PSPs) – I see Stripe in there so assume I have to do this integration “Gateway” as I’m using your Plugin ?

    https://developers.google.com/pay/api#participating-processors`

It says to select the API Integration Type to be Type Gateway as the first choice if using PSP.

Then it wants me to do screenshots, but to screenshot 1 item when I click on Gpay it says “his merchant is not enabled for Google Pay.”
Then on the top of the page it says ”
You have not registered to use this API. Double check your Android app or web domain registration.”

So maybe I need to choose API INtegration Type to be “DIRECT” instead with Gpay settings ?
    I’m bit confused.

    Direct integration

When I test it as a Customer it says “The Merchant is not enabled for Google Pay”

Your domain entry in the Google Pay console is most likely wrong. If you added the “www” prefix it’s not needed. The solution is to re-enter that domain but without the “www”.

    Thanks for your quick reply.

    Settings in Google Pay

In the corporate website for Google Pay I show the full website
    https://domainname.com.au

Then in the Google API domain for the INTEGRATE with WEBSITE I have
Domain: domainname.com.au (no www or https or anything).

    It say: Your website
Enter the domain you’d like to integrate with. The domain needs to be verified, secured (HTTPS) and include the full path of labels up to the DNS root. For example, http://www.example.com, not example.com.
Website URL which I have only put domainname.com.au

So I have now CHANGED that to https://domainname.com.au to see if that makes a difference.

Am I choosing Integration type “GATEWAY” because Stripe is on that list ?

    Thanks

Am I choosing Integration type “GATEWAY” because Stripe is on that list ?

Yes. The answer to this question is in our documentation which is a great resource for setting up Google Pay.

I also found a previous thread with someone who is having the same issues as me “Merchant is not enabled for Google Pay”.

It said to REMOVE Merchant ID so testing can be done in order to get screenshots required for API setup.

    Hi @alex_marin_29,

When you have the plugin set to “live” mode in the API settings page then that tells the plugin that all gateways are accepting real payments. You need to set the mode to “test” and that is where you don’t need a GPay merchant ID.

Once you set mode to “test” GPay will work so you can gather your screenshots for approval.
    **************

I can’t see WHERE In your plugin to CHANGE it to TEST MODE ?

    Thanks
    Kristin

    (@mrclayton)

Setting the plug-in to test mode is very straightforward. Just go to the API Settings page of the Stripe Plugin and there is a drop-down where you can specify test or live mode.

Per the documentation I provided a link to, you can use test mode to gather the Google Pay screenshots that are needed for approval.

I’ve been googling trying to figure out what to do ..

    https://stripe.com/docs/google-pay

I assume I don;t have to do all this as I am integrating with your plugin that allows Google Pay.

This is NOT an easy task to get G Pay working at all.
So from my previous message, it says to have in TEST environment, how do I do this ? As Our Merchant ID would NOT have been approved for Google API yet, therefore we have to test in test environment through your plugin that links to Stripe.

Please advise what else I have to do.
I can’t do screenshots that G Pay want if TEST not enabled …

    Pretty urgent thanks

@kristinubute I told you how to set the plug-in in test mode in my last reply.

In the stripe plug-in there is a tab called API settings which you should click. Once you are on that page you will see a drop-down that allows you to set the plug-in to live or test mode. Select test mode and then save your settings. You will then be able to take all of the Google pay screenshots that you need because the plug-in will be in test mode.

    (@mrclayton)

To make it even simpler, here is a link to the API Settings page:

    https://{your-website}/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-settings&tab=checkout&section=stripe_api

Replace “your-website” with your website url. That should take you right to the API Settings page where you can set the plugin to “test” mode.

    (@kristinubute)

Yes sorry I was bit confused with the instructions. You meant that I go directly into the Stripe plugin settings and change it in there.

    Sorry about that.

    HI

I have now submitted the screenshots for Google GPAY to review using TEST mode.

Could you confirm that the G Pay is ONLY available on Google Chrome browser and NOT viewed at all on Mozilla Firefox ?

That’s what I have been reading.
As the TEST mode doesn’t seem to work on my TEST site in Firefox at all. ONLY worked in Google Chrome browser.
