Show custom field value with shortcode

I’m curious if this plugin will support a use case I have. I need to get the value of a custom field from the current User (registered/logged in user scenario only). I need to pull this single value (text field) into a widget/UI control field by using a shortcode. Is this scenario possible? Thank you.
