I’m using the Jetpack Blog Subscription widget to allow readers to sign up for emails of new blog posts.

I am also using another plugin called Auto Post Scheduler to automatically recycle old posts. It takes the oldest post, saves it as a draft, then republishes it with the current date.

For some reason, this action is not triggering Jetpack to send email notifications of these posts. Does anyone know how to get it recognize the republished posts as new posts?

    Hi @ajeclizm,

The Jetpack Subscription feature doesn’t work with posts that are “re-published”; the feature will alert your readers on freshly new published posts only.

The feature will work again if you manually re-create the post – I know, however, that’s not practical as it takes a lot of time and defeats the purpose of having a plugin do it for you.

Hope that helps even if that’s not the answer you were looking for.

    Hi @erania-pinnera,

Thanks for replying. I was afraid of that being the case. Would you by any chance know of any other subscription plugins that will work with re-published posts?

    Hi there

I’m not 100% sure, but you could look into using something like Mailchimp to create an RSS campaign that will send your subscribers your latest posts. In this case as long as the new post is added to your RSS feed then it should get sent even if it’s a ‘re-published’ post.

    Hope that helps!
