    Hi,

I have definite global variable Meta Description for posts in Search Appearance->Content Types.
In old plugin version was simple switch, to make social title and description same as general.
In present version there is no such option.

What’s more, there is no such global option for Facebook and Twiter to define global variable description. But as you say in documentation “If you leave the Facebook Description field empty, then All in One SEO will automatically use the Meta Description entered in the General tab.” It works for Facebook, but not for Twitter. If I like the same description for Twitter, I need to do manually check the option “Use Data from Facebook Tab” in every single post. This is problem, because I have several thousand posts.
Have you any solution of this problem?

    Regards
    Everet

    Hi @everet,

You don’t need to check the “Use Data from Facebook Tab” to use the Meta Description from General Tab for Twitter.

If you leave the Facebook and Twitter Description field empty, then All in One SEO will automatically use the Meta Description entered in the General tab for Facebook as well as Twitter.

You can check this by taking a look at the source code of the page.

    Hi @shivamtyagi,

Yes, indeed in the source code „description” content”, “og:description” and “twitter:description” are the same, but Facebook Preview and Twitter Preview are different than General Snippet Preview.

Facebook Preview and Twitter Preview show the first paragraphs of the text while General Snippet Preview shows the text entered by the user. It leads to a slight confusion, because different text can be seen in Facebook Preview and Twitter Preview, and different is in the source code.
