    Hi,

We have been using the GTM4WP plugin on several of our sites for implementing GTM and Enhanced ecommerce tracking in GA, and it has been working fine, but suddenly the GTM tag have dissapeared from one of the sites? We suspect that it has something to do with a conflict with some other plugin, but have not been able to find out which one, if so. The two sites where we use the plugin are.

https://shop.qicraft.se – Here the plugin works fine and GTM container loads as exepected
https://shop.qicraft.no – Here the GTM container suddenly are gone and therefore Google Analytics and all the other tags as well

The setup looks exactly the same in the plugin, same version as well.

Appreciate any help with solving this.

    Thanks

    Hi,

What is the placement option set on the second site, where the container is gone?

    Hi Thomas,
You mean “Container code <noscript> part placement”?
It´s set as “Off (only add data layer to the page source)” on both sites.

“Off” means you need to add the GTM container code manually.
That seems to be done on the first site but for some reason missing on the second site.

Either try to change this to “Codeless” or add the container code manually into your theme.

But that only concern the <noscript> tag, right? The main tag should be published in the <head> anyway, and has been previously on both the sites here?

As it says within the plugin:

“Code placement decides where to put the second, so called noscript part of the GTM container code.
This code is usually only executed if your visitor has for some reason disabled JavaScript.
The main GTM container code will be placed into the <head> section of your webpages anyway (where it belongs to).”

You were right, the tag was published by another plugin as well, that had been removed on one of the sites. That solved it. Thanks a lot!
