• I wanted to remove the staging site that I created and stupidly went to the File Manager and deleted the contents of the staging folder. Problem it has left several references to staging in the snapshot panel which jus clutters things up.
I can create a new staging copy and then delete it but the residue of references still persist.
Any ideas on how to clean this up?

  • Were you using a plugin to create the staging copy?

If by residue of references you mean that there are still links to the staging url e.g. www.staging.yoursite.com, www.staging.yoursite.com/contact-us, then use a plugin like Better Search Replace to replace all database instances of staging.yoursite.com with yoursite.com. Note that you should take a full databse backup first.
