    Hi @yoast and @joostdevalk,

    I’m using Yoast SEO with my WordPress site, but I find it’s quite limited. For instance, I would like to add some more schema mark up (e.g., SameAs, Affiliation, Knows, Awards).

    And so I downloaded the Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP @magazine3 as it offers more features.

    But then my site broke. I received an email from WordPress stating the following:

    Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email. In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Yoast SEO.

    Could you please tell me how to fix it? Also, how do I extend the current Yoast features?

    (PS:I’m not a developer so it would be great if you could suggest an easy solution and not refer me to developer documentation).

    Many thanks!

  • What fatal errors did you get while using Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP ? If you need help on it, You should create a support thread to their forum.

    @droyed

    We understand you’re trying to use Yoast SEO and Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP plugin together to take benefits of schema from both plugins, sadly the site broke. While we were not able to reproduce the issue running those plugins together, there might be other plugins conflicting specific to your setup.

    We recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

    If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

    Going back to your main concern, since Yoast SEO 11.0, the plugin offers a vastly improved output of the schema data the plugin already generated before. You can find all the types of structured data that Yoast SEO can currently add to your site here: https://developer.yoast.com/schema-documentation/yoast-seo/.

    We understand you’re not a developer but you want to modify or extend the schema markup generated by the Yoast plugin, we’re afraid, you’ll need to use the Yoast Schema API described in this document. It requires you to be a developer and have some technical know-how. Please, note that providing custom code to interact with the Yoast Schema API is out of the scope of support at the public forum which only covers questions about the installation, usage and documentation.

    We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue.
