’m using Buddypress default data to test my site.
When I’m on the buddypress profile tab I press change password.
After changing the user’s password I log out.
Then I try to log back I and I get this error:
There was a problem with your username or password.
When I deactivate Paid Memberships Pro I can log in just fine.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @zustudios

I’m sorry to hear about this issue you’ve run into.

To confirm, do you try to login using the frontend Paid Memberships Pro login form or did you test this using the default wp-login.php login page?

Please let me know the exact steps to replicate this on my end and test it further.

    Once the user changes the password they are locked out of the site. Both widget and login page. I’m using buddypress default data. {password removed by moderator}

Thank you for the feedback @zustudios, I haven’t been able to replicate this issue. Please can you ensure you do not have caching enabled on your frontend login page.

I also highly recommend in testing this login process via the wp-login.php to see if this issue persists with the default WordPress login page.

I the users can’t login on the login page either. I’m not using a caching plugin.

Paid Memberships Pro passes information to the default wp-login.php to authenticate the user. If the default login page isn’t working, there may be something else interfering like custom code or an Add On.

I haven’t been able to replicate this issue, I have tried this with BuddyPress (resetting a password from BuddyPress) but I am unable to recreate this issue.

Do you have any other plugin that may handle login functionality or custom code that may interfere with this?

Sorry for bumping this thread, to confirm you are using Paid Memberships Pro 2.6 or 2.6.1?

I also have buddypress members only plugin installed. Do you think it’s an issue?

I don’t think that’s an issue, could you please ensure that you don’t have any reCAPTCHA or other requirements on the default login page? I saw a similar issue on another site that their reCAPTCHA was interfering with the default login page, which caused issues on Paid Memberships Pro frontend page.
