• I have been using the RSS feed to send email to my mailing list via Mailchimp. lately I noticed that emails are not being sent out.

I searched the forums and saw a thread to add parameters to the feed. So now I use https://financialfreedomcountdown.com/feed/rss?orderby=post_published&order=DESC

When I directly check the feed it shows the latest post (Bobby Bonilla) at the top which is also on my site. However when I check the same feed using https://validator.w3.org/feed/ it doesn’t show the latest post; which explains why it doesn’t trigger email via Mailchimp.

Any ideas how to ensure that my RSS feed always has the latest post?

Are you using a cache plugin? If yes, then make sure feeds weren’t being cached in in that cache plugin.

If not cache issue, this may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install and activate “Health Check”: https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/
It will add some additional features under the menu item under Tools > Site Health.
On its troubleshooting tab, you can Enable Troubleshooting Mode. This will disable all plugins, switch to a standard WordPress theme (if available), allow you to turn your plugins on and off and switch between themes, without affecting normal visitors to your site. This allows you to test for various compatibility issues.
There’s a more detailed description about how to use the Health Check plugin and its Troubleshooting Mode at https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/

I’m using Ezoic for my ad network which also has a caching plugin. And cloudflare CDN.

Is there a way to see the RSS feed in those plugins? I cleared both Ezoic and Cloudflare cache for specific URL [ redundant link removed ]

I recommend asking in cloudflare CDN/plugin’s support forums.
