    Hi,

I’m helping a client add some summer tours on their website.

There are 4 activities, but 1 of them has the option of adult & child tickets. This is what I need help with. What’s the best way to do this?

The only solution I could come up with was to use categories, but this means that the customer can only add one ticket type to the cart at a time, then they’d have to go back to the product page and choose the other ticket type.

Surely there’s a way so that they can check out with both types of tickets? For example a family of 4 book 2 adult tickets and 2 child tickets at the same time using the webba booking form, then click book and goes straight to payment page.

    Any help would be great.
    Thanks.

    Hi,

I will be happy to assist you.

You can add the custom fields in the booking form so that a customer can specify the number of children. Please, check our documentation on how to add the field: Using custom fields in the booking form.

If you need to change the price based on custom field values, use the Pricing rules.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

    Hi, I think I’m getting confused…

So the tour is a guided boat trip.
Maximum number of places is 10. children tickets are 50% off.

In CF7, I’ve successfully created a custom form for the customer to type how many of the tickets will be for children.

In pricing rules, I’ve set the following:
Type – price based on custom field value
    ID – Custom_field1
    Operator – Equals
    Custom Field Value – 1
    reduce
    50
    %
    Multiply Amount… – Yes/ticked
    …related to no. of seats… – yes/ticked.

So if someone books 2 tickets (1 adult, 1 child), the cart shows the correct price.

    BUT

If someone books 4 tickets (2 adult, 2 child), the cart shows the incorrect price. Isn’t ticking ‘multiply amount…’ supposed to fix that?

Or do I need to create a new pricing rule for each possible field value/number of children?

    Hi,

Could you please send a screenshot of your pricing rule and content of the custom form to support@webba-booking.com? So, I can try it out on my side.

Please, drop a line here after sending email.
