Import from .com to .org | WordPress.org

I have had WordPress.com since November but recently decided to switch to .org because I heard it is better. I imported everything from my .com site and now it’s saying that there is an error. I am really new to blogging and I have been struggling lately because I am really not sure what to do. I also changed my domain name from wordpress.com to .org because I didn’t like my old one. Does that make a difference? Thank you

When you setup your .org wordpress installation, did you use the wordpress importer that comes with wordpress to import from .com?

Or did you use another plugin?

What is the error you are receiving, and are you able to share a screenshot of the message or shrae the URL where you are having trouble with us?
