    Are you enjoying All in One SEO?

    I’ve dismissed that prompt a few times now over the last year or so, but it eventually comes back. It’s simply annoying. The fact that you force me to dismiss it before it goes away is beginning to feel spammy. Especially since, if I don’t take manual action to close it, it continues to show… even when installing other plugins. Show it on your own plugin pages. Not every admin page.

    I’d click “Not really…” but then it wants me to tell you why. Well, now I am.

    Hey Jon, I definitely understand the frustration. If you click the little X icon in the top right corner of the notice, then notice should be dismissed permanently for the current user. If that isn’t the case, let us know and we’ll dig deeper into this.

    I figured that was the case, by inspecting the code, but I’m not sure if something changed between version 3.X and version 4.X. I’ve definitely clicked that X a few times over the last year or so. Looks like you’re saving the fact into user meta? If so, next time it happens (next time it shows up), I’ll try to look at my user’s meta to see if it has the correct field/value already.

    If you dismissed it in v3 and updated to v4, I’m quite certain it would reappear again (as we completely refactored the way we register notices). Sorry if that’s the case!

    That’s correct; we’re saving it to the user meta. Definitely let me know if you run into it again.
