Will Not Connect to Jetpack

Hi there – while Jetpack itself seems to be working just fine, the Shipping & Tax plugin is telling us that we need to connect to Jetpack. I’ve tried dozens of time and it just won’t connect. WooCommerce does not display the option to get automated tax rates. Sometimes it says that jetpack connection was successful, but returns me back to the admin saying we need to connect to Jetpack. Other times, we get a message that “This WordPress.com account is already connected to another user on this site. Please login to another WordPress.com account to complete the connection.”
I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting our site to jetpack, I have tried deactivating and reactivating the Tax & Shipping plugin, I’ve fully reinstalled the plugin, so far absolutely nothing has worked. Any help would be very much appreciated.
