    I can’t deactivate the plugin, here is the issue

    An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 217 of the file /hermes/walnacweb05/walnacweb05an/b829/as.diamondtom/dgg/newwp/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/vendor/automattic/jetpack-connection/legacy/class-jetpack-signature.php.     found the issue, jetpack does not work with php version 7.4 I had to go back to 7.3 now jetpack is working and no critical error.

    Jetpack is compatible with PHP 7.4, but it would appear that the ctype extension is disabled in your instance of PHP at the moment. You should be able to enable that extension in your PHP configuration settings, or your hosting provider should be able to do it for you.

    Once that extension is available in your installation of PHP 7.4, you should be all set.
