Editing goes to blank shortcode

    When I tried to edit my pages today, I click on the edit (pencil) on the section and the Text Shortcode box opens but it’s BLANK and this happened on every page.

    • Where does the editing happen? On your front page? Or in the dashboard at /wp-admin/post.php?post=x&action=edit ?
    • Do you use any page builder plugins? If so, the best place to ask is their forum support page.
    • Can you provide a screenshot for this problem?

    Thanks for the reply. It’s within the Dashboard and just started happening.
    How do I attach a screenshot?
    I don’t think we have added any page builder plugins since the last time I logged in.

    So, the screenshot you provided shows a feature that WordPress doesn’t have in its core, so I assume you are either using a page builder plugin or your theme offers you these features (Editable Sections) and it’s malfunctioning.

    I would normally ask you what theme you use, but it seems you use a custom made theme goldenpaws. As well as a custom made plugin goldenpaws. (I assumed you are facing this issue on the site you have on your profile).

    I would suggest debugging plugins by

    If the problem persists after disabling all plugins, then it’s your theme and I advise you to contact the developer that created the theme for you.

    We are all volunteers and building a new site as the old one “goldenpaws” is old. I am using the Whiskers theme – staging1.scgrrescue.org

    Your theme has indeed a content composer that might be in conflict with one of your plugins. I recommend the above steps to find out if a plugin is causing you the problem.

    Also, your theme might not be compatible with wp 5.6 but since you use a commercial theme, please go to their official support channel.

    Forum volunteers are not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial theme is not working properly. Commercial products are not supported in these forums.
