• Hello,

I am trying to verify my URL in the Google Merchant Center.

I want to use the Tag Manager Container but when I am clicking on “Verify URL”, it indicates that “The Google Tag Manager snippet on your site is in the wrong location.”

Why ? Could you please tell me how to fix that ?

    Thanks for your help !

    Hi,

I checked your site: have you selected the “footer” placement option in GTM4WP plugin options?

    Hello,

    Thanks for your quick answer.

Yes indeed because it was the default choice and that I am afraid that if I choose the codeless injection it will break my frontend.

For information, I am using Astra theme.

    Hi,

In order to be able to verfiy your site in GMC in you need to me an admin in the corresponding GTM container and the so called noscript or iframe part of the GTM container code needs to be placed just after the opening body tag.

Footer option will not put this noscript/iframe part where GMC is looking for it.

“break by frontend” means that you will still have access to your WP admin, “breaking” means here breaking the design in some cases. You should try it and if it breaks the fronend design, you shoud use the manual code placement option and put the requested PHP code in the header.php of your template.
