Do you have the plugin “Classic Editor” installed. If so disable and delete it.
Hi Steven,
Thanks for your reply!
Unfortunately, that’s not the problem because I don’t have the plugin.
Please install the health check plugin and report back its findings: re themes and plugins installed: https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/
Also, This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
See https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/ for more information.
Great thanks!
So it’s a problem with my theme (Divi-extra). The block editor works with the Twenty themes.
So, I guess I should contact the elegant theme support team for help?
Because you’re using a commercial theme, please use their official support channel. We feel they are best equipped to support their products.

Commercial products are not supported in these forums.
Thanks for your help, I just found the answer in the Divi support group.
Apparently, you have to enable it within theme options.
So for anyone with the same problem, here is where you can find it:
1. Head to Theme Options
2. Then the Builder tab
3. Then the advanced tab
4. Enable/disable Classic Editor
Cheers!
