Rename Login Page 404
-
Hi, I activate Rename Login Page and change “Login Page URL” to something else.
The only problem is when a user wants to reset their password it goes to a 404 page.
When I deactivate this, the user can change password as normalHow can I have this running and have users be able to reset their password?

Hi,

Is the user login in using the URL with the secret word?
Thank you
They use the URL wordpress emails them when they click LOST PASSWORD
This is what they told me
“It seems that the reset password link sent by mail with the “Lost your
password?” option routes to a 404:

Hi,
I just finished carrying out a test in my dev site. When I enter the username or email address of the admin account the email that is sent to my inbox has the correct link. Can you carry out a test yourself. This will prove to you that it is working as expected.
Let me know how you go.
Thank you
email link for me (admin) also goes to a 404
https://mysite.com/wp-login.php?action=rp&key=iNknXTqaEAJe8C1Z2YH0&login=myloginThat means you have a conflict somewhere in your site. If that is the case you need to investigate this further by carrying out a plugin/theme conflict test.
Let me know how you go.
Thank you
Deactivated all plugins and changed theme, cleared cache.
The only thing that makes it work is when I disableRename Login Page Feature:
Unfortunately I tested this on two different sites and it works for me. I will share the steps I took to test to make sure it does work.
1- I typed the URL with the secret word in the browser address bar. I activated the Rename Login Page feature.
2- I clicked on Lost your password? link.
3- It asked me for my username or email address. I entered my email address.
4- Checked my inbox and received the link “with the secret word included” to reset the password.
5- I clicked on the link to reset the password. It took me to the browser and I did not receive a 404 error message. The above confirms that this feature is working for me.
Ok this works for me because I know the secret url.
But for my users who have forgotten their password and they do not know the secret URL, when they click forgot password and enter in their email, they get the 404 error link in their email

Unfortunately that is not how the Rename Login Page feature works. Once you enable this feature all users login into your site are suppose to use the secret URL.
How are your users logging into your admin panel without using the secret URL? Or are you using a membership plugin?
Regards
Login with ajax plugin. This allows them to login when Rename Login Page is activated.
Hi, which ajax plugin are you using?
Unfortunately we don’t have an integration with that plugin. You will have to contact the developers of the login with ajax plugin and ask them about the reset password link.
Kind regards
Ok thanks
