    Hello people,

I create several pages with the Elementor plugin, and in it I embed Vimeo videos. But the Broken Link Checker plugin records that these Vimeo video links are forbidden: https://prnt.sc/tpbh7a

Why this 403 error if the links are normally accessible?

    Thank you!

  • Hi @vejapixel,

I have checked few of your videos with tools like Uptrends and WhatsMyDNS and they had couple of failed pings for your videos, some from US and some from France, all reporting the same 403 error.
So it seems that Vimeo is not allowing access to all checkers like this so BLC is reporting it as broken as it doesn’t have access.

This usually means that only the checker tools are blocked and that the visitors should see them fine so it should be safe to ignore those reports.

    Cheers,

    Hello, ok thanks.

It would be interesting for you to report this problem to Vimeo.

    Hi @vejapixel

The Link checker uses your Server IP to ping the links.

I suggest contacting your hosting provider to report this on Vimeo or keeping eyes, it may be a temporary issue on the service.

You can find the reports on https://downdetector.com/status/vimeo/

However, as @wpmudev-support1 said, you can ignore those reported links.

    Best Regards
