    Hello @warrenlingerhk

We are preparing a video showing how it works, to make it easier for new users.

Thank you very much for your comment and suggestion!

    We really appreciate it 🙂

    Hi @eneribs,

    Thanks for your reply.

There is an example from BuddyBoss, that shows a few ideas.

    https://www.buddyboss.com/product/social-learner-learndash/

I’m just wondering if you have some more examples of Points leading to Achievements that lead to Ranks. It would be awesome to see several examples.

I was thinking like Boy Scouts were points build up to achievements (like merit badges) and enough achievements take users to higher ranks. If you have other examples like this it would be nice to see them.

I noticed that when I have too many emails for points, then users get annoyed.

Are there other examples of ways to have a few emails for things like sign-ups and completing a lesson, but just notifications for posting, responding, etc.

    Thanks again.

    Hi @warrenlingerhk

Of course, the way to understand how GamiPress can award elements is through the “events”

For example, GamiPress has the event for “Comment on a post”, then you can use this event like this:
On points: “+10 points for comment on a post
On achievements: “Comment on a post 10 times to unlock the achievement”
On ranks: “Comment on a post 1 time to unlock the rank”

Then for your question, yes, GamiPress has events for “Reach a points balance”, “Unlock any/specific achievement”, “Unlock all achievements of a specific type”, etc

Since events can be used anywhere, you can:
    1) Use the event “Reach a points balance” on an achievement (to unlock an achievement when reach a certain amount of points)
    2) Use the event “Unlock a specific achievement” on a rank

Anyway, we take in consideration all feedback received and we will look to release more “easy-to-understand” resources to help non techies understand better GamiPress and the possibilities this plugin offers

    Best regards
