Pre-purchase questions regarding rules
-
Hi there, I just wanted to see if the following rules can be implemented before purchasing. I could not get these to work on the v2.0.0 demo, so wanted to ask for some help.
1. Recursive free gift #1 – A free mug is given for orders with subtotals over $200 before tax/shipping, and for every $50 after, a subsequent mug is included. The subtotal should not include on-sale item amounts. So for example, for an order with subtotal of $310, there should be 3 free mugs included.
This sounds like it would be two rules, the first rule to include a free mug for orders over 200, and another recursive rule to include free mugs on orders over $200 for every $50. I couldn’t figure out how to do it in version 2.0.0 though.
2. Recursive discount #2 – A bit similar to the first one but more complicated. On orders with subtotals over $100 before tax/shipping, customers get 2 free plain t-shirts (for example valued at $5). Alternatively, if they would like more expensive t-shirts, they can make up the difference (for example, if they want a $7 t-shirt instead of $5 t-shirt, they can pay the difference of $4 for both). For every $50 after, there is another free plain t-shirt included (or its $5 discount equivalent on other t-shirts). The discount cannot be applied towards the order itself though, only for items in the t-shirt category.
3. Option to choose discount – Could customer have the ability to choose whether to apply #1 or #2, one or the other, but not both? For example, on an order of $310, a customer has the option of having either 3 free mugs, or 5 plain t-shirts (or its discount equivalent), but not both.
Thanks!
