When I approve a pending vendor it assigns the role of customer and vendor to the user and they do not have access to and vendor related things. I have noticed I have two vendor roles in my drop down list too, not sure why. One works and one doesnt.
If I manually select the top most vendor role the user becomes a vendor and all works fine.

Any ideas what I can do to make it so I can just click approve?

Did you used any other marketpplace plugin before? If so, I would recommend in deleting the vendor roles through a third-party plugin called User role editor- https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/

After deleting the vendor roles from there, you’ll need to reset the WC Vendor roles in WooCOmmerce >> Status >> Tools >> Reset WC Vendor Roles – https://share.getcloudapp.com/wbuW19R2

    Hello Mark,

I did try Dokan beforehand so maybe that’s why I have more. I have taken your advice and removed the duplicate but I still have a problem where someone creates a vendor account and they get assigned two roles (customer, pending vendor), and then when I approve they become customer, vendor. If I open the user and change the role to vendor or change it to a vendor from the drop-down action menu within users it changes fine and just becomes vendor.

On another note, this may be really dumb but I am testing with a vendor or mine, he added a product and he missed something out so I do not want to approve it, he needs to attach an additional file to the product as its a downloadable product but I cannot ‘reject’ or ‘deny’ the product and he doesn’t see it in his vendor dashboard area under products. I have tried looking around at documentation and nothing seems to cover how you reject or deny a approval request.

    Hi there,

1.) This is normal for the free version. Please don’t worry as the primary role is always vendor when they apply as one 🙂

2.) The vendors could only see the status of their pending product from the WordPress dashboard >> products. There are only three options for the marketplace administrator, to leave it as pending, to publish it or to directly delete it. It would be up to you how you contact your vendors and let them know about the scarce/wrong information in their product.
