“Looks like you don’t have an Analytics account yet. Once you create it, click on “Re-fetch my account” and Site Kit will locate it.”

I already have an account, I can access Google Search Console and PageSpeed.

When I try to connect Google Analytics. I get this error: https://ibb.co/4Ppqvry

    @wholanda thanks for your topic!

    1) Could you attempt connecting Analytics in an incognito browser to ensure browser extensions are not involved?

    2) If that doesn’t work, could you check for any browser console errors after you have pressed “refetch my account” ?

Feel free to send a screenshot.

@rayming many thanks for the screenshot! Could you open a new support topic with this and information about your hosting provider and known security measures they might have? If you could you provide your Site Health Information that may also be helpful.

@wholanda If you can provide those console error and similar info that would be great.

I shot some videos with Loom and posted it as unlisted on youtube.

See, in the first video, I logged into one account, but the Site Kit Google identifies another: https://youtu.be/erT7egBIbOw

By connecting to Google Analytics, it does not identify the account that already exists and asks me to create a new one: https://youtu.be/VwdC6zWl41c

I’m sorry it took me so long to respond.
    Can you help me?

Yes, I’ve installed Site Kit before using the contact @ mov.
Is this cache from the previous installation?

    Renee Johnson

    (@reneesoffice)

@wholanda thanks for the details! Since you used the contact@ Google Account to setup Site Kit, it will retain this account if you’re using the same WP admin user. It’s recommended to use one Google Account per WordPress admin role with Site Kit.

    1) Could you Reset Site Kit to authorize the Google Account you’re currently using for Site Kit instead (otherwise you can create a new admin users especially for this account).

    2) Connect the Analytics service and let us know if Site Kit can detect your Analytics account (ensure your Google Account has administrative permissions for it).

    3) If the issue persists, press “Re-fetch My Account”. If this does not work, could you check for any browser console errors and share them?

    Thanks again!

    The error continues.

The Google Chrome console brought up an error during the inspection process.

@wholanda many thanks for the image of the console error. This may be a server-related error. Do you know if your host has a firewall or security measures in place?

Feel free to provide the name of your host and plan and we can investigate further as well.

    Hello!

    I use the Fastcomet.
They’re excellent at everything I ask.

    They have incredible support 24/7.

I can’t imagine it’s something with the Host, I have other sites on the same Host and I can usually connect to Google Analytics.

    Renee Johnson

    (@reneesoffice)

@wholanda thanks so much for this info. We’re looking into this further and will follow up as soon as we know more.

@wholanda just a quick follow up that we’ll be investigating the issue further with the team on Github. I’ll still keep you updated here on our findings.

@wholanda I’m following up on your topic regarding the issue with Analytics.

While we were not able to recreate the issue at Fastcomet, we suspect that the issue could be related to an aspect of the server environment your site is in- particularly the cURL library being used (see this issue for more details).

Unfortunately, we’re limited on the solutions we can provide there, but we’re working on a way to detect these issues sooner at setup. The next best course of action would be to contact your host if you have not already found an alternative.

We greatly appreciate your report and patience as we looked into this.
