    Hi,

This plugin has really helped with my website speed and has greatly increased my PageSpeed Insights via Google

However, I still have some CSS that is apparently being unused according to Google:

    wp-content/cache/autoptimize/css/autoptimize_1bc724fd80ec6e59450575a40a9ce1e5.css

I previously had a problem with this causing rendering issues but I create a critical CSS code which got rid of it (using sitelocity as suggested via FAQ). However, it did not get rid of the above problem regarding ‘unused CSS’.

    How would I remove this?

    Thank you

The unused CSS is being reported as being Autoptimize’s, but AO merely aggregates all the CSS provided by your theme & plugins, so if you (really) want to tackle “remove unused CSS” then you should look into your theme & plugins (you might be able to get some improvement using e.g. “plugin organizer” to only allow plugins to work on specific pages). Moreover the unused CSS will likely be different for different pages (or parts of your site), so that would lead to different autoptimized CSS-files being loaded on different pages preventing CSS (or JS) being used from browser cache and thus slowing down the site 🙂

    hope this clarifies,
    frank

you’re welcome, feel free to leave a review of the plugin and support here! 🙂

Could you please advise here how to configure autoptimize with wp fastest catch?
I have both installed but i have heard that both can make complications while js and css on in both plugin.
Can you please radiate what to tick and what not to tick in both plugin for best results

you should start your own thread dubytours, but now that we’re both here; make sure to disable all CSS/ JS options in WPFC and you’ll be good to go 🙂
