Custom Global Marker Image not rendering on mobile

I created a custom global marker image that works fine with desktop but does not render at all on mobile (chrome or safari, ipad or iphone). Additionally the mobile version shows no map marker images for my listings at all when I have a global marker image specified. When I delete the global marker image from settings it goes back to using the default red marker image and works on desktop and mobile again.
