Exclude a few files from Asset Optimization?

I don’t see a way to select a few files to NOT be compressed. I’m switching from another plugin that used to have that option, and I need it for 2 files I have that can’t be altered. For some reason it breaks the main menu. They are .min.js files – but for some reason they get further compressed and it breaks the site. I just want to exclude these from Asset Optimization.

Hi @malawimama,

At the moment there’s no option to exclude files from optimization directly from the UI, but if you disable all optimization options for those files that should pretty much be the same as excluding them.
If you’re still having issues with optimization disabled for those files could you give me some more information about which files are in question and from which plugins, as well as some steps that we could follow to try and reproduce this so we can debug it further?

Sounds fine, how do I do that? I looked everywhere, and I don’t see a way to disable all optimization options for the file.

Also I am not sure which files are in question because I cannot deactivate the files one at a time. I ended up keeping Autoptimize installed since that allowed me to exclude files, including Slimmenu.js which helps keep the menu working.
