In the pro version, there’s an option to remove the duplications and only show the first in a series of recurring events:
https://eventcalendarnewsletter.com/events-calendar-shortcode-pro-options/#hiderecurring
For example:
[ecs-list-events hiderecurring='true']
Cheers!
Hello,
Is it possible to check the result of this shortcode?
Will the list show only the last event from the recurring events or only one example, without the date?
Thank you very much!
Hi @webreneszansz !
Could you confirm what [ecs-list-events] shortcode you’re looking for the result from?
To clarify, the hiderecurring='true' option in the pro version would show only the first event in a recurring series, starting from today (ie. the next event date, as you were originally looking for). It would show all the detail from that instance of the event as normal, including the date and time, depending on the options in the shortcode or any CSS to hide certain parts of it.
Cheers!
Hi,
Thank you, yes, I would like to buy and use the pro version of this plugin, but before the purchase it was important to check the result of the hiderecurring=’true’ option.
Hi @webreneszansz !
Using the hiderecurring=’true’ option will only show the next occurrence of a recurring event. For example if today is April 3rd and a monthly event started on January 5th, it would show that event for April 5th. Similarly a weekly event that started April 1st would have the April 8th instance shown by the shortcode.
You’d also get any non-recurring events being shown, and can change how many are shown in the listing using the limit option:
https://eventcalendarnewsletter.com/events-calendar-shortcode-pro-options/#limit
Hope that clarifies! There is the 14 day guarantee so you can try it out on your own site. If there are any questions or issues you can let us know, and if needed can refund no problem 🙂
Cheers!
