I’ve installed this plugin in order to replace the obsolete official plugin AALB.
when I wrote a post, it was enough for me to research the product and insert the shortcode in the post.

How can I do now to insert a shortcode concerning only that product? I need to set a new unit every time I want to add a new shortcode in the post?

    Where’s the generated shortcode?

    Hi,

You can just paste the product URL in the editor with the development version v4.0.0b.

Or manually set the shortcode parameter like [amazon_auto_links asin="XYZABC1234"] where XYZABC1234 is the ASIN of your desired product.

Another approach is to use Auto-insert. Create a category unit and create an auto-insert item by choosing that unit. This way, in every post, the unit will be shown at the bottom of each post.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks a lot.
For the next release would be possible to add the search bar in the Editor, like AALB?

Another question: how can I remove the description of the product that is shown when I add the shortcode? Which kind of template I have to change?

For the first question, no. You just paste the product URL.

For the second question, you want to set the default item format by going to Dashboard -> Amazon Auto Links -> Settings -> Default -> Item Format. Remove %description% there.
